What would a Mod of the Month that focuses on good old-fashioned modding be without at least one Lian Li mod?

Don't worry, before you have to get your pitchforks and torches, we have one for you. Project [Thessa] by knet370 is exactly what everyone loves about Lian Li as a whole - clean execution, top build quality and minimalist attraction.

knet370 had a very specific goal in mind for [Thessa] - the case needed to hold two separate watercooling loops but could not ruin the very clean and uncluttered exterior of his beloved Lian Li PC-A77 case. Therefore, it's pretty safe to assume that you'll be looking for the bling on the inside instead of the out.

The first loop, which would take care of the processor, north bridge and south bridge, would be cooled by a top-mounted triple radiator. In order to prevent ruining the clean outsides, knet370 opted for a simple and understated black radgrille.

The initial loop planning involves a top loop and a bottom loop - each of which had to find a place in the case. Planning for visible and attractive reservoirs and pipe routing would determine most of the layout that sheer card and chip placement didn't already plan for him.

The fans for both loops would be kept controlled by the addition of a fan controller, which could control power to each radiator's fans separately.

Actual execution of the watercooling began the minute the hardware was properly mounted. First, there was the basic hose layout and a bit of tidying...

...and then the final layout and the loop filling. Even if the modding is a little light, the clean and elegant execution of this mod's watercooling alone is worth a closer look...so stop by his worklog and check it out!

While you're on your way, make sure to take a second and vote for [Thessa] by knet370 if clean and attractive watercooling is your type of thing!
